2022 Toyota Sequoia – The Toyota Sequoia isn’t really a great big SUV, even though it does hold some fairly impressive appeal. It’s got a powerful V8 engine, comfortable handling, good off-road skills, and at least three rows of very spacious seats. It also offers great room for storage, and is one of the smallest sport-utility vehicles on the market today.
All of those things make the Sequoia a great choice for anyone looking for an all-around vehicle that will get them from point A to point B, but the vehicle also has one other redeeming quality: a terrifically useful aftermarket interior.
What You Have to Get From 2022 Toyota Sequoia
One of the most attractive features of any version of the 2022 Toyota Sequoia, both on the outside and inside, is the striking and rich color combination on the front end. Available in several attractive colors, including a nice off-white, the trd sport trims in the front section of the vehicle are finished in a nice, solid metal to help provide structure for the grille area.
That makes it easier to keep the grille and bumper clean while the vehicle is being driven, which is a considerable bonus. Cleaning the outside trim gives you a chance to also take a look at the interior trim, and the materials used to create it ensure that it is comfortable and effective.
The interior of the 2022 Toyota Sequoia also delivers a strong impression, with the company creating a number of very modern-looking and attractive models. Most of the seats are upholstered in black leather, but the center console and dash have nice stainless steel accents to really make them pop. In addition to all of that, the instrument panel and dashboard are covered in clear plastics that match the upholstery.
Up front, you’ll find some real nice touches, including the power tilt and dial locks, radio controls, and the glovebox. The back seat offers the same materials as the front section, and again the instrument panel and dash are covered in attractive plastics. All of this helps to make the SUV one that looks great from the inside out.
As you would expect with a vehicle of this size, the 2022 Toyota Sequoia also offers excellent handling from the driver’s seat. The fifth inch all-wheel drive offers smoothness that allows for a smooth transition from the driving to the cruise, although there are some elements of the trim that can become a bit hard to maneuver if you aren’t accustomed to them.
A high-quality set of front and rear suspensions, however, ensures that the ride is comfortable and controlled when driving in traffic. The new model of vehicles will also offer front and rear shocks with dual control purposes, something that wasn’t offered on any of the previous versions of these sedans.
A lot of attention was paid to the new body-on-frame styling of the 2022 Toyota Sequoia. This new theme follows the newer V8 engine styling introduced with the hatchback models. The new body style features a longer version of the door opening, with the use of shorter glass on the new grille insert.
Also new is the full-size version’s strong torque vector engine, which is both lighter and has greater power than the previous generation’s versions. All of these changes result in a vehicle that is sleeker, more curvaceous, and even more dynamic, allowing it to be faster while maintaining an elegant, smaller appearance.
As is typical with any mid-size or larger sedan, the 2022 Toyota Sequoia doesn’t have a trunk space. Thankfully, however, the cabin is quite roomy and well-equipped. The standard class features leather seats with cloth floors, a full complement of standard base accessories, including a base trim, an air conditioning system, and a premium audio system. However, the all-weather (operational) version of this vehicle also includes a powerful, 4.2-liter V8 engine producing more than 47 horsepower.
Aesthetically, the 2022 Toyota Sequoia features front headrests, wide rear seat pan, bucket seats, front and rear bumpers, a full-length side air vent, and a tasteful black split trim on the hood. These changes, according to some sources, allow for a greater level of comfort as well.
However, the biggest departure from the factory is the massive spider-like rear end. While most sedans sport generous clearance areas for passenger storage, the Toyota Sequoia features a low ground clearance that allows it to fit into many parking situations without making any modifications.
Despite its compact nature, however, the V8 produces enough torque to feel much faster in any situation, allowing the all-weather SUV to move along at more than reasonable speeds even in surfaces that are typically too hard or soft for many vehicles.
Off-road performance parts for the Toyota Sequoia include everything from after-market kidney grills to heavy duty performance mats to bullbars to mud flaps. All of these items, however, are compatible with the third row of interior seats. Toyota claims that all of these accessories work together to provide the best possible off-road performance.
However, those who enjoy driving off-road will find that each accessory has its own specific purpose. Regardless of whether you need to protect your cargo from the dangers of the dirt road or you simply want to provide yourself with a more comfortable ride, the ability to customize your vehicle is one of the greatest appeals of the 2022 Toyota Sequoia.
